One of the statements I often hear with my clients, and other creatives I interact with is they do not start because they cannot commit to the time. They imagine that they must have multiple hours in order to create.
Maybe you feel the same way: the needlework project that isn’t finished because there isn’t time; the poems that sit in your head because you don’t have time. There is the expectation that creativity requires too much time commitment. The other reason they don’t start: because they are afraid they won’t finish.
But what if it doesn’t have to be finished right now.
Here is my fabulous secret…the secret to all creative pursuit.
Show up!
That’s it. That is all you need. Show up and just give yourself 10 minutes.
